Dr Dhanu Gupta is a Group Leader and a BBSRC New Investigator Fellow. His research focuses on next-generation delivery technologies for gene editing and RNA therapeutics, with particular emphasis on extracellular vesicles (EVs), lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), and programmable in vivo systems.
Dr Gupta’s work integrates synthetic biology, receptor discovery, and nanomedicine to enable precision delivery of CRISPR and RNA-based medicines to extrahepatic tissues. His long-term goal is to develop clinically translatable platforms that expand the therapeutic reach of genetic medicines for neurological, inflammatory, and rare diseases.
