Genetic and epigenetic basis of congenital heart disease
I am an undergraduate student, at St George’s University of London, studying Biomedical Science. I have taken a year out of my studies as part of a professional training year (PTY). A PTY is where students take a year out of their studies to gain experience in a field they are interested in. I am in the Stathopoulou group, where I will aim to understand the epigenetic mechanisms underlying congenital heart disease and will also be given my own research project to work on.
