Physical mechanisms of rostral folding in mouse
I am a student on the Interdisciplinary Bioscience DTP, jointly supervised by Alexander Mietke and Shankar Srinivas. I hold a BSc. in Physics, with a double major in Mathematics & Philosophy from Yale University. I am interested in the physical underpinnings of morphogenesis. In the theoretical physics department, I use continuum active matter theories to study deformations on curved surfaces. With the Srinivas group, I aim to connect these theories to the onset of rostral folding during mouse gastrulation.
