Matthew Stower is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Prof. Shankar Srinivas' group at Oxford University. He is currently working on a Wellcome Trust-funded project on heart formation during early development with a focus on the tissues that form the inter-ventricular septum and the causes of congenital heart defects in this structure.

During his time at Oxford, he has also supervised the laboratory research of FHS and MSc (Clinical Embryology) students as well as co-supervising a DPhil student on the Wellcome Trust Chromosome and Developmental Biology Programme. He has also tutored pre-clinical undergraduate medics at Jesus College and New College. He has also lectured on Developmental Biology at Oxford Brookes University.
