I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Cyprus and a Master’s in Molecular & Cellular Biology from Sorbonne University. I am currently a DPhil student on the Cardiovascular Science–BHF programme, working in the Srinivas group.

Throughout my academic journey, I have cultivated a strong interest in cell and developmental biology. I am particularly fascinated by embryonic development, where diverse morphogenetic processes seamlessly coordinate to shape a functional organism.

My research focuses on using advanced live-imaging microscopy to illuminate the hidden cellular and tissue-level events that take place during embryogenesis. In particular, our research seeks to generate novel insights into the control of embryonic heart morphogenesis and to address the fundamental question of how the heart first starts to beat, and how disruptions in these early processes may lead to disease.
