Cardio-immuno genomics
I am a research assistant with the Simões lab studying heart development and regeneration using in vivo and in vitro models, including organoids, human induced pluripotent stem cells, and zebrafish. I hold an MPhil in Developmental Biology from the University of Cambridge, where I investigated mechanisms of human airway differentiation under hypoxia, and a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences from the University of Edinburgh. My research interests lie in developmental and regenerative biology, particularly understanding cellular and molecular mechanisms that drive tissue formation and repair.
