I am a DPhil student reading Genomic Medicine and Statistics. My research centres on the identification of rare neurological conditions which are amenable to treatment with antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) therapies. Many of these conditions arise through haploinsufficiency, where a change in one copy of a gene leads to a reduction in gene expression. My objective is to boost the expression of the unaffected copy through splice modulation. This variant-agnostic approach will offer two main advantages: accessibility for many individuals, and prompt availability upon diagnosis.

Previously, I was employed at the Wellcome Sanger Institute as an advanced research assistant in Next-Gen Sequencing, Genomic Surveillance of Covid-19, and Gene Editing. I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2019 with a master's in Biological Science.
