I studied my MSc at the Tokyo University of Science. Afterwards, I joined the pharmaceutical industry for about 10 years gaining experience on drug discovery research with a broad range of disease area and modalities such as oligonucleotide as a pharmacological researcher. Whilst there, I completed my Ph.D. at the Tokyo University of Agricultural Science under the supervision of Professor Kazuhiro Shigemoto, studying the pathophysiological mechanisms of sarcopenia and myasthenia gravis using disease models. Since 2024, I have joined the team as a postdoctoral research scientist. My research interests are technology development on RNA editing and drug delivery, and identification of new therapeutic approach on neuromuscular diseases.
