My current work is focused on investigating the role that inflammatory cells play in two different models of heart failure.
We are interested in how both heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) are modulated by inflammatory cells as they play a major role in the remodelling of the heart following injury.
We hope to be able to utilise knowledge gained from this research to formulate new therapeutical targets in order to decrease the morbidity and mortality associated with heart failure.
