Skeletal Muscle Regeneration

I completed my Master's degree in Cell and Gene Therapy at UCL in the lab of Prof Francesco Saverio Tedesco working on a cellular therapy for skeletal muscle regeneration. I obtained my PhD in Regenerative Medicine as part of the EPSRC-MRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Regenerative Medicine and completed an EPSRC Post-Doctoral Fellowship, both at the University of Manchester. My PhD and post-doctoral work in the lab of Prof Stuart Allan was focused on the development and characterisation of cellular therapies for brain regeneration after stroke. My work in the lab of Prof. Mommersteeg will be focused on investigating the injury and regenerative responses in skeletal muscle in the Astyanax Mexicanus animal model.
