I graduated in 1994 from the University of Wroclaw (Poland) with an MSc in Biotechnology. In 1999, I completed my PhD in Animal Breeding and Genetics at the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences (Poland). Following postdoctoral training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (Little Rock, USA) where I researched the genetics of bone mineral density, I came to Oxford in 2005 to work on Congenital Heart Disease at the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine (later RDM). In 2019, I joined Sarah’s De Val group and started working on transcriptional regulation of genes crucial for the development of mammalian vascular system, focusing on the formation of coronary vasculature.
