I graduated from the University of West Attica, Greece with a BSc in Biological and Biomedical Science before coming to the UK for an MSc in Clinical Drug Development. I decided to go back to Greece to complete an MSc in Application of Biology in Medicine. Being driven to ensure a safe working environment, I completed my PhD in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at UCL in 2021. My project was clinical and wet lab-based working with a cohort of sugarcane workers in Nicaragua. I loved interacting with students in the lab and that is why I started working as a teaching Lab Technician at the Division of Surgery and Interventional Science of UCL. There I supported lab operations and practical sessions, and eventually I became the Lab Manager.
I am an emergency first aider and mental health first aider, and enjoy helping others to ensure their research is carried in a safe manner so they can go home to their family and friends.  In my spare time I love rock climbing and reading poetry.
