IDRM supporting Beauty Banks and SOFEA

About Beauty Banks

The IDRM proudly supports Beauty Banks, an initiative dedicated to helping people in need by redistributing unused and unopened beauty and hygiene products donated by the community. A donation box is available within the institute for staff contributions, enabling our team to support this meaningful cause. Through this partnership, we also work alongside SOFEA, an organisation known for its community larders, which provide affordable essentials to local residents. SOFEA and Beauty Banks collaborate to manage the redistribution of donated items, ensuring they reach those who need them most.

Aims

We strongly believe in giving back to our local community and supporting local charities like Beauty Banks and SOFEA gives us an opportunity to do just this. We are able to help SOFEA provide essential items and fund their charity school, while also supporting their broader mission to help transform young people's lives and communities. Our longer-term view is to build a collaboration with SOFEA’s new STEM teaching lab and offer our staff and students the opportunity to engage with a new audience.
